Hey Ant - why are you posting a second hand Yamaha on the site - bit normal for you isn't it ??

Well  . . . . NO!

and why ?

because this guitar is 40 years old and it seems its never seen the light of day - it is like it is straight of it's box - brand new ! No dings or scratches - zero fret wear - it's unplayed .

When it arrived in the shop i thought Yamaha had reissued the old 420C I used to sell in the 80s - but no - its the OG !

The FG 420 was always a popular model. The 420S was really unusual in as much it was a cutaway but not an electro . 

I've never really worked out why the guitar industry almost always put a pick up in a guitar that has a cutaway - as if normal unamplified players don't actually want to play high notes too - seems weird .

But anyhow , this was the exception to the unwritten rule - A really great solid sounding Yamaha WITH a cutaway - in minty minty mint condition !
