1956 Fender Stratocaster
56 was a special year for us .
It was the year Larry Macari started work at Tom Jennings' Vox shop at 100 Charing Cross Road - so it's kind of when all this music shop stuff started .
A few years later he oversaw the first commercial import of a Sratocaster into the UK for Bruce Welch of the Shadows .
So it's rather fitting for us to welcome this fabulous 1956 Strat to Macaris .
It's a killer sounding guitar with all the attack and twang you'd expect from a strat of this era .
It has been refinished ( a long time ago judging by the lacquer checking ) and there is a rout under the scratchplate .
Apart from that the guitar is in great original shape - no replacement parts , not even the frets .
It has been beautifully set up and sounds totally superb
The price includes the guitars original brown tolex case
