PRS Billy Martin SE c 2006
Batty
Well here’s a surprising guitar!
The first thing that strikes you, besides its mean looks is the lightness – really manageable guitar at 5.8 lbs even though it’s solid mahogany
When you pick up a guitar like that you don’t expect incredible tone – they’re just the standard PRS treble and bass pickups – but this thing totally screams!
Maybe that’s why Matt Bellamy of Muse used it to gig with – yes this budget PRS!!
AND there’s something going on in the middle position – m not sure if it’s because the bridge pick up is installed upside down (easy to rectify) but it sounds so cool we’re leaving it that way.
This is quite a rare piece produced in relatively small numbers from 2005 – 2007.
Have to say this scores 10/10 in sound per pound category. The looks are pretty stunning – definitely none more matt black with bright green bat inlay designed by Good Charlotte guitarist Billy Martin himself.
Condition is very good for a guitar of this age with zero fret wear and just a bit of playing wear on the body.
We also love the stripped back simplicity of the single volume and tone set up.
A very cool high output guitar of rock and loads of fun to play.
as always , if you'd like a shrt video of the guitar in action just email us at info@macaris.co.uk
