It's difficult to talk about this pedal without sounding ridiculous and churning out superlatives so I'll keep it simple
This is a re-creation of the 1975/6 Colorsound Jumbo Tone Bender - the attention to detail is second to none - the sound is insanely good . . . i told you . . . .its impossible !

These are all based on my own mint and boxed October 1976 Jumbo Tone Bender. They are a reproduction both sonically and visually. I selected high specs parts that are modern equivalents of the OG componentry.
This is the first iteration of the Jumbo Tone Bender circuit as is and does feature a few differing values and circuit oddities when compared to the later incarnations, be it in the Jumbo circuit or the OEM version such as the Champion Fuzz Units. It likely has the most expansive and intense fuzz tone of all versions with a very intense break-up at full fuzz. The EQ sweep is nothing short of monstrous and is highly usable at all settings, even full treble.
These '76' Sausage Logo's with the original paint scheme, and original style wiring, will all have the final assembly done by myself. The component and hardware specifications are all chosen with intent and are as thus:
ZETEX ZTX109 NOS silicon transistors
Italian custom made Goldo footswitch
OMEG custom made potentiometers
Cliff Electronics jack sockets
Alpha harsh environment wire
Vishay metal film resistors
BC Components, Vishay, Panasonic & LCR Capacitors
In a nutshell, all the components are either UK or European in manufacture, aside from the Panasonic black caps ( MIJ ). Just stressing the point that this is a seriously high spec, but vintage themed fuzz box.
I think that's all you need to know. Personally, I think it looks and sounds rad! I was a bit freaked about doing the old school kinda 'loose' wiring but it makes sense with it being a repro of an vintage unit.
