 Last time Steve Williams was in Macaris, we happened to be packing up some Aussie Power Boost cases and by chance 12 wouldn’t fit in the box!

What do you think Steve – fancy doing a small power boost run?

Yeah. . I can do something with those!

Well, I was king of joking . . . . why would we do that? we already make the Aussie and Stu also makes our no corners cut vintage replica . . . . so stupid idea!

We sort of thought that, until this morning when these 12 rather special pedals arrived.

Yes, we make a ‘no corners cut’ power boost already but sometimes corners can be squeezed out a bit – maybe a crazy transistor here and some mojo dust there – unnecessary but a bit of a treat.

There are just 12 of these in the World and I’m having one – so actually 11!

Each pedal is made by the fuzz legend Steve Williams of Pigdog effects.

Steve has gone back to the original 1970 18v Power Boost spec but used his own, ex-Groundhogs, Overdriver as inspiration for voicing . . . pretty good so far!

Steve actually draws then etches the circuit board (outrageous) then populates it with NOS carbon composite resistors, Vishay Panasonic and Iskra capacitors. Adds a 5mm LED and soft-touch true bypass switch (remember the Power Boost is a LOUD pedal so this switch helps to keep the pop down) . . oh and did I mention the flying saucer transistors that Steve reckons NASA wanted but he hijacked them on the way to area 51 for this batch of pedals.
