1991 Gibson Les Paul Studio

Firstly, sorry for the quality of the pictures – this is a really difficult guitar to take pictures of !

It’s like a black mirror and every speck of dust that lands on it ends up looking like a ding in the guitar – and there aren’t any -  so I had to wait for the natural light but after the sun had gone , , ,then it was a bit dark !

Anyhow hopefully you can see that this is a 91 Gibson LP studio in Black and nickel in really quite amazing condition – I mean 91 was 34 years ago – this guitar has hardly been played, it’s just about as close to mint condition that a second hand guitar can be – even the case is minty.

You may already know that 91 is one of the best years to buy a studio from. It’s when Gibson USA were still using ebony in the fingerboard, installing the patent number Gibson humbuckers and supplying the guitar with the LP Standard case before they downgraded to a gig bag in the mid-90s.

I suppose you could say it’s an amazing way of getting LP Custom tones without spending 5 grand!

Sound per pound and with such potential collectability it’s a great buy.

 . . . . but Ant  . . it’s a lot for a Les Paul studio  . . . .

Actually, yes it is – but this is a lot of Les Paul studio oozing Rock’n’Roll class – perfect year ,  lovely weight (9 lbs ) – amazing condition – great player – outstanding tone –. . .and its about the same price as a new one , which , if you wanted to , you could have 100 delivered tomorrow – I think you’d have a very long search before you found another one quite like this .
